The Vinci is just the epitome of cool. No matter where you go, this bike will turn heads. Sleek, flush-mounted electronics, that rocket-shaped body…it’s retro future sexy to the max. But, just as (if not more) important is its incredible speed, balance, and functionality. I can’t find one thing I’d add or subtract. If Tesla made a bike, it would look like this. Here at Queen City Fight Club, people just wanna ride it, take pics with it. It makes US look good, just having it around. So, way to go, Enzo! You did it, man. Bravo.
Got mine yesterday, straight out of the box and zipping around the block in about 40 mins. I’m new to disc brakes and e bikes in general, but I’m pretty sold that Enzo did a great job and so did the builders. I don’t have a complaint about it, every decision seems practical, functional, and looks really good.
Things I don’t know and hope others can share thoughts or tips on :
-Front brakes squeak and rub slightly, I’ve been subscribed to CGN for quite some time and did the suggestions I found within an hours searching and still haven’t dialed that in myself.
-can’t really confirm if I can get the seat suspension to engage or if it’s supposed to. I’m also not very heavy and will further research that part’s functionality.
-ideal Tire pressure? I’m currently starting at 15lbs as the max is 20lb. Understandable that will differ from terrain and preference, but if there’s any knowledge of what is ideal I’d love to gain insight.
These are things I’m sure a bike shop would handle and know but personally not inclined to go there until it’s broken.
Overall, you did a great job Enzo and Co.
Must say the detail o. This thing is phenomonal. Work of art
My first impression on seeing the bike was they were much more beautiful and sleek than in pictures. It is very well made and so many things about it just that much different than anything else on the road.
I went on ~18-20 mile ride. I rode all along the bay, across the Golden Gate, and back. I had about 25% battery left on the single battery.
Here are some of the notable features I really like.1: Locking battery compartment
The battery in the seat can be easily locked and unlocked and slides out as a complete unit for security and indoor charging. I live in an area with cold winters. E-bike batteries cannot handle being left out in the cold. Any time I’d go in to a restaurant or bar and left my current e-bikes battery out, I’d come back to a dead battery. Li-Po batteries cannot hold charge in the cold. This feature makes it quick and safe to remove the entire battery compartment.
2: Charging
You can charge the battery directly or using the port on the bike. Like I said above you can easily remove the entire battery compartment. With this option you can directly charge the battery out of the bike or just always leave it locked in place and charge using the built in charging port in the bike frame.
3: Tool Kit
Although perhaps unintentional the tool kit that is supplied with the bikes fits snuggly and securely in the battery compartment.
4: Head and tail lights
They are bright AF! The headlight is brighter than my Sprinter Van headlights. You can see everything. The tail light is also bright and blinks when the brake is applied. This is a great safety feature.
5: Universal e-bike components
Beside the frame and Vinci specific lights, all the moving bike, drive, and electrical parts are all universal. I have built several bikes and e-bikes and immediately recognized everything on the bike. You won’t have to worry about a part wearing down in years to come and not being able to replace it. Everything is readily available and easy to replace.
I am from Canada so we just got hit with a snow storm on my delivery date! lol But I got the bike in the house. Its heavy so be aware you need 2 people to lift it the box even says Vinci on the box! As for packing its well packed with a lot of foam zipped tied. My bike is grey frame with black seat. Like I said earlier its winter here for another few more months so the only thing I have done is take it out of the box. I will give updates and pics as I put it together. As for shipping company its DHL and you could arrange shipping date and all on their website. I still had to pay duty for importing it to Canada it was like 180 dollars. Well I have work to do on the computer but I want to thank Enzo for the great bike and quality !
I ordered two bikes and they arrived today. They look great although did take some effort to set them up. A couple tips. The pedals aren’t labeled but seem to be left and right. If it doesn’t go in smoothly don’t force it, try it on the other side. I almost stripped one of mine until I figured this out. They also come default in km/h. To switch it to MPH takes a little effort and isn’t clear in the instructions. First thing you need to do is hold down the + and – at the same time, then use the +- again to enter code 6666. That takes you into what seems to be a service mode where P1 is the first thing that pops up. Press the i button once to take you to the lower section of the p1 screen and then press the + to switch it to MPH and then i again to lock it in. Sorry kind of a ramble but hopefully this helps!
I love my Vinci and use it to ride around town and go to work. I ordered the gray one online, but was happy that it turned out to be more of a sepia gray with gold undertones. I really like how unique the Vinci is from other e-bikes. It’s got a thoughtful design and creative features like the integrated turn signals. The frame is such a great size also. I’m a 5’2″ woman and sit comfortably on this bike. Whenever I’m riding around, someone always asks me about my bike. The pictures don’t do justice to how good it looks in person.
